Function: Measures inlet manifold boost air pressure and temperature. |
Location: Mounted in a port on the top of the inlet manifold.

|
Signal: Voltage proportional to air pressure. Resistance proportional to air temperature. If the diagnostic tool receives no signal from the device it will display the following default values:

Removal and Replacement Guide:
IMPORTANT ! The following information must be used in conjunction with the procedures given in the Service Manuals applicable to both the engine and its installation (the vehicle or machine). DO NOT work on any part of the engine until you have read and understood all the relevant service information.
|
Removal:
|
1 |
Stop the engine and allow it to cool. |
 |
2 |
Uncouple the electrical connector B. |
3 |
Remove the 2 bolts A and carefully withdraw sensor from the inlet manifold. |
Replacement: Replacement is the reversal of removal but note the following:
|
1 |
Carefully inspect the sensor for signs of damage, excessive oil or sludge contamination. |
2 |
Make sure that 'O' ring C is undamaged and fitted correctly. |
3 |
Apply a little engine oil to the 'O' ring C before fitting the sensor in the inlet manifold. |
